Organized by Fairchild Television, and co-organized by TVB, Talentvision, Fairchild Radio and Popular Lifestyle & Entertainment Magazine, the annual 'TVB Fairchild Fans Party' was held on April 20th at 8pm at the John Basset Theatre in downtown Toronto. Four of TVB’s hottest stars, Sharon Chan, Shaun Tam, Kristal Tin and Hubert Wu, alongside Masters of Ceremonies Poon Chung Ming (Poon Sir) and Oi Yiu Wong, delivered a remarkable and unforgettable evening filled with music and laughter to audience members.

The works of the four stars are deeply rooted in the hearts of audience members. Theme songs played as the stars appeared onstage and each threw signed T-shirts into the crowd.

In 2014, Hubert Wu made his Toronto debut as the guest performer for that year’s Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant. He expressed his excitement to once again return to Toronto this year for TVB Fairchild Fans Party. Hubert is known for his guest appearance in ‘Be Home For Dinner’ which jumpstarted his acting career. His most recent portrayal of a one-hundred-year-old spirit in ‘The Exorcist’s Meter’ has garnered high praise from fans. As singing is still his greatest interest, he brought two songs to his excited fans: the theme song to ‘The Exorcist’s Meter’, and the theme song for ‘Wife, Interrupted’.

The popular Hong Kong drama ‘Tiger Mom Blues’ will be making its way to Fairchild Television 2 on April 29th. With the highest audience recorded at 31 points, it’s no wonder that Sharon Chan was welcomed to the stage with excited applause from fans. As a new mother for just 2 years, Chan admits that "every job has different levels of challenges, but they all feel very fun". She hopes that, in the future, she can act in a wider variety of roles to help refine her skills as an actress. She brought two famous songs, ‘Star Dreams’ and ‘Think One Day’ to the remarkable show.

Shaun Tam, who returned to Toronto for the first time in 20 years, had audiences chanting for their 'prince charming'. As a family man and an actor, he was very grateful to everyone for their support. He reminisced on how his time studying in Toronto 20 years ago were the best years of his life, and how excited he was to return to where he first started. His performance in ‘The Stunt’, ‘The Ultimate Confession After 18 Years’, and ‘Succession War’ all showcased his superb acting skills. However, amongst them, he commented that his role in ‘Succession War’ was the most challenging but also the most rewarding. He also showed off his singing skills by serenading the audience with ‘Next Year Today’ and ‘Wonderful Tonight’.

Kristal Tin was welcomed to the stage with applause as loud as thunder. Her extraordinary acting has been fully demonstrated in multiple drama series, even winning her a ‘Best Actress In A Leading Role’ Award at the TVB Anniversary Awards. Not only can she act, but she is also a phenomenal program host. She was awarded the ‘Best Program Host’ Award in 2018 with her show ‘Pretty Forty’. Many don't know that Tin is also a singer. She once said that "the fire to sing was never really extinguished" and has never left her, as it is her interest. Performing for the first time on such a large stage, she surprised audiences with two songs: ‘It’s Not That Easy’ and ‘Most Dear’.

Some lucky fans had the honour to go on stage to play games with their idols: “Ropes”, “Paper Cups”, “Can You Guess” and “Relay”.

In the ‘Can You Guess’ game, Sharon Chan and her teammates proved that they had strong eyes, and frequently answered questions correctly. In the ‘Ropes’ and ‘Plastic Cups’ game, audience-favourite Shaun Tam and Hubert Wu both rallied behind their teammates to see who would emerge as the winner. ‘Relay’ proved to be the most challenging, but Kristal Tin and her teammates gained the upper hand with their teamwork.

In addition to good voices and wonderous music on stage, the four stars also hopped into the crowd, shaking hands with the fans to take pictures, and audience members immediately went crazy. Each of the stars took turns picking a lucky audience member to take a group photo on the stage. When it was time for goodbye, the quartet went into the audience in the audience to pass out gifts, and take a few selfies. The annual TVB Fairchild Fans Party ended with the four stars taking a group selfie on stage with audience members. It was certainly a night that everyone will remember for a very long time.

First Markham Place was packed early in the morning as fans eagerly awaited the arrival of four of TVB’s hottest stars: Sharon Chan, Shaun Tam, Kristal Tin and Hubert Wu. The stars arrived to the deafening cheers from excited fans
